Patty Kinnersly

CEO, Our Watch

Patty Kinnersly is Chief Executive Officer of Our Watch, a national not-for-profit organisation leading efforts to prevent violence against women and their children. 

She grew up in the Western District and spent her working life in Ballarat until she went to Our Watch in 2015

Before that, she was Chief Executive Officer of Women’s Health Grampians for nine years and has served on the boards of Ballarat Health Services, Rural Northwest Health (in Warracknabeal),and Child and Family Services Ballarat. She is currently the Vice President of the Carlton Football Club Board

In 2023 Patty was appointed as expert advisor to Minister Clare’s University working group and is currently Chair of the National Respectful Relationships Education Expert Working Group.

Patty has worked with leaders of sport, corporate Australia, the media, education institutions and government in her efforts to prevent violence against women, but she believes the answer to ending violence against women lies in strengthening communities
