Lenda Oshalem

Executive Director, Advocacy & Engagement, Minderoo Foundation

Lenda is the Executive Director of Advocacy and Engagement at Minderoo Foundation. Prior to Minderoo, Lenda was Partner and National Campaigns Director at strategic communications firm SEC Newgate. Project highlights include working on behalf of Dying with Dignity WA to secure political and community support for historic assisted dying legislation change in WA.

Lenda spent over a decade working at senior levels of government and politics across the country, including as the Assistant State Campaign Director for WA Labor from 2012 to 2017.

Lenda is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently a Board member of Auspire – The Australia Day Council (WA) and Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House. She has also previously served on the National Science Week WA Committee and the Metropolitan Migrant Resource Centre Management Committee.

Lenda is passionate about advocacy, community engagement and organising, and capacity building.
